about lci
During the height of the Great Depression, a few ordinary people came together and created something extraordinary -- a job training facility for people who are blind. This small facility evolved into LC Industries, a modern, North Carolina not-for-profit corporation.
Operating under the Javits-Wagner-O’Day (JWOD) Act and AbilityOne program, LC Industries is the largest employer of people who are blind in the United States.
With seven manufacturing plants, two distribution centers, and 27 Base Supply Centers serving the military across the country, LC Industries’ innovative approach continues to create jobs for people who are blind, while supporting a wide array of customers from coast to coast. LC Industries’ focus on electronic recycling extends a successful tradition of offering innovative products and services to its customers.
